Custom WordPress and plugin development
We do custom WordPress development when off-the-shelf plugins don’t fit how your business works: new admin views, automated workflows, role-based logic and connections to other systems. You don’t have to bend your process to fit a plugin.
- Platform
- WordPress, new or existing site
- Code and documentation
- Yours
- Example
- ASÕP, joined by 494 schools and kindergartens
When does custom WordPress development make sense?
If two or three of these apply, the manual work usually costs more than building the feature.
| Now | With custom development |
|---|---|
| The feature you need does not exist as a ready-made plugin. | We build the feature for your exact case. |
| The existing plugin forces you to change how you work. | The feature works the way your team already does. |
| The same data is entered in several places. | Data is entered once and moves on automatically. |
| Different users need different roles and views. | Each role sees and edits only what it needs. |
| The current solution is slow or hard to manage. | Clear admin views instead of a menu patched together from ten plugins. |
| The feature has to talk to other systems. | Integrations with CRM, accounting, payments and other platforms. |
What we build
Often you don’t need a new system, just the one feature your plugin is missing.
-
Custom features
A calculator, inquiry flow, user accounts or data import that does exactly what you need.
-
Admin views and workflows
Clear steps for your team that match how the work is actually done.
-
User roles and permissions
Control over who sees what and who can change it.
-
Automation
Notifications and data processing that run on their own, so nobody has to do them by hand.
-
Integrations
WordPress connected to CRM, accounting, payment and other business systems.
-
Plugin extensions
When a plugin works but something is missing, we add it so that updates do not break it.
What we can add to your WordPress site
We choose the features your project needs together. The quote spells out exactly what the base price includes.

- Development and testingBuilt in phases and tested across user roles and scenarios.

- Result
- 494 schools and kindergartens have joined the ASÕP network, and 138,500 lessons have been covered (asop.ee). Kasvuprogramm now runs on the same platform too.

Custom WordPress and plugin development questions
More answers on the FAQ page.
Should we build a custom plugin or use an existing one?
If an existing plugin does the job without changing how you work, use it. Custom development makes sense when the feature does not exist, the plugin forces a different workflow, or data has to be entered in several places. We’ll tell you which applies to you during discovery.
Can you extend a plugin we already use?
Yes. When a plugin works but something is missing, we add it in a way that plugin updates do not break.
Why build on WordPress?
Content, users and permissions already exist in WordPress, so development is faster and administration is familiar. The application logic lives in separate code. If WordPress isn’t the right fit, we’ll tell you during discovery.
Can we start small?
Yes, and we recommend it. The first version covers the most painful workflow. Later phases are added based on real use.
Who owns the code, and who maintains it later?
The code and documentation belong to you. We can keep maintaining and developing it, and you can also bring in another developer if needed.
