Free and immediate

Free Website Check

Enter your domain and see in real time what your website looks like to external visitors—security, speed, SEO, accessibility, and cookies. Each finding comes with instructions on how you can fix it yourself.

The check is free and takes about two minutes. We won't ask for your email address until you've seen what we're checking.

What the inspection covers

In about two minutes, we'll go over what visitors, Google, and malicious attackers see on your website.

Security

HTTPS and certificate validity, security headers, publicly accessible files and logs, XML-RPC, and whether usernames are visible to outsiders.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Chrome's real-world visitor data for the last 28 days: load time, response speed, and layout shifts on mobile.

SEO and Discoverability

Titles and descriptions, sitemap, robots.txt, indexing, and weaker subpages that drag down search results.

Accessibility

Color contrasts, the structure of headings, and the names of links and buttons—these are the elements that a screen reader user actually hears on your page.

Cookies and Privacy

Third-party trackers, obtaining consent before tracking begins, and the existence of a privacy policy.

Domain and Email

Domain validity, DNS, SSL expiration, and SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, which keep your emails out of the spam folder.

How the inspection is conducted

Four Steps
  1. Enter a domain

Enter your website address. We'll immediately identify the site's name and the platform it runs on.

  2. Review the inspection plan

We'll show you exactly what checks are performed before anything is launched.

  3. Enter your email address

Just your email address—no other information is needed. We'll then send you a link to the report so you can find it later.

  4. Track the inspection in real time

You can monitor the process right before your eyes. You can even close the page in the meantime—the report will be generated anyway, and the link will remain active.

A report you can actually do something with

Most free checks just give you a number and leave it at that. Our report tells you what’s broken, how serious the issue is, and exactly what to do to fix it. If you choose to fix it yourself, instructions are provided. If you don’t want to tinker with it yourself, you’ll at least know exactly what to ask the developer.

The report states

  • Scores for security, SEO, speed, and accessibility
  • problems found listed in order of importance, not in alphabetical order
  • Step-by-step instructions for each problem on how to fix it yourself
  • A preview of how your page will look when shared on mobile and social media
  • Comparison with other sites we have reviewed
  • a permanent link that you can share with a colleague or the board
